I have discovered that I am not a big fan of Indonesia, infact I would go as far to say that I really do not like it and probably won't rush to come back. We are now in Bali! I was quite glad to leave Australia as it rained non-stop in Cairns and we quickyl ran out of things to do. Sam did an open water diving course on the reef and I went an Aboriginal culture park which was terrible! We were shown a few videos and a laser show which was ok, but when it came to the dance show the dancers outnumbered the audience and they made us get on stage and dance with them, which reminded me of butlins and was so embarrassing...

During our night in Magnetic Islands we headed to the bar for a drink and ended up meeting someone from Hervey Bay and played a few drinking games with the Americans next to us, so a quick drink turned into rather a messy night! 1770 wasn't too much fun-it was raining so hard for the night we were there that we couldn't really step outside without drowning so we were just boring and had an early night. The next day was much better, however-we visited the Kroombit cattle station for the night which is meant to be an authentic Aussie experience! We went across to a field and did some clay pidgeon shooting-out of 5 shots Sam managed to hit 3 and I had a go too-I think Sam was a bit gutted...

It was a rather strange 3 days while Sam was away...Hervey Bay is a rather small and unexceptional place, so after spending a day on the beach and walking to the pier it seemed that I had seen everything there was to see.
