Day 4 ....Part 2..
Back on the bus and arriving in Roma, we where very happy to see a busy street and some much needed comfort food maybe we can stop on the way home (heading back to Chinchilla that is) at Macca's..Please Shirley..
We turn the corner at Macca's to arrive right out the front of the Junior Campus of Roma State College, this campus looks after Prep to Year 3. Here 6 of us step of the Bus, we gather or lunch which we ordered from the Hotel and head off to meet Rebecca and her staff at the Junior Campus after a short tour and chat we are assigned Classrooms for the rest of the Day!
Then for those of us still on the bus we ate our lunch on the way to the Middle and Senior campus's which are on the other side of town. On arriving at the Senior campus which caters for years 10-12 and the tafe we wonder what kinda of a day the Secondary teacher will have...
Then the last 5 of us are taken to the Middle Campus which caters for years 4-9, we meet with Marg who tells us that she wasn't expecting us until 1.30pm. We meet the new Principal of the college who had only been in Roma for 3 days so for him everything was new and he was able to tell more about moving from the Cold Coast to Roma with his family.
Marg then gave us a short tour of the school and we where assigned to classrooms for a rest of the day.
Yes we stopped at Macca's before heading back to Chinchilla which was wonderful for most of us!
The buzz on the Bus was what are we going to do for dinner it was a free choice night and everyone was not too sure what to do, do we eat at the Pub or venture further down the road! The thing the Pub had going for it was the fact it also held a pool table and was where we were staying so drinking a couple of drinks with dinner was looking really good.
The meals at the Hotel / Pub was great, good size serves and a good price which is always a bonus.
We enjoyed the last night before heading home...
