Lima was a place we weren't looking forward to. Purely because it meant that Kim would be leaving us. So we thought we needed to try all the things we hadn't yet, just over indulge on food and pisco. And over indulge we did. If you're ever in Lima, go to La Mar for some quality ceviche and chilcanos. We spent an afternoon here, getting a little drunk and having a good time. Reminiscing the good times of our trip!
The following day, we explored miraflores, relaxed in the sunshine before heading out to a feast on beef heart, Guinea pig and wine. We had tried all the famous delicacies and drowned our sorrows about Kim leaving over copious bottles of wine...
I would love to tell you what happened this night. But it is forever lost in the depths of my brain. I know a few highlights... Kim and Justine danced with some old blokes where we had dinner, we moved to a bar where we made friends with some locals, Justine was getting accosted by someone called Handsy. Seriously. He was handsy and his name was Handsy. So we ditched him quick smart.
We had tequila shots and I power spewed and had to be taken home. It was definitely the Guinea pig that made me sick... Not the wine...
We farewelled Kim at the airport the next day. None of us could cry because we were too dehydrated from the amount of alcohol consumed the night before. But we were sad!
The next stop - Justine and I don't even know yet. Somewhere in Colombia tomorrow. Stay tuned!
