Hyacinth Happiness
Up in time for free breakfast and rented a bike to ride with a group form the hostel to the Keukenhof Tulip Gardens. The ride was so beautiful, but the SMELL was even better! There were entire fields of hyacinth in bloom in different colors. I wish I could bottle that smell and take it with me. We navigated through many streets and giggled at how badly we pronounced the names. I have so many flower pictures now that I'm not sure what to do with them! After we rode back to the hostel I grabbed a water and went to the beach. There were students playing a soccer game in the sand. It was chilly as I watched, but a very sunny day and the breeze was crisp off the ocean. There are many restaurants backed into the sand dunes along the coastline with glass enclosed sitting areas. The water in the ocean is brown. Kites fly nearby. The little hairs around my face curl with the mist off the ocean. I sat a long while and then decided I was chilled and walked back stopping for a Thai massage on the way! Dinner. Nap. Shower. Fun night out dancing with the locals and hearing them mix local songs with American music. So hyphee!(crazy)102 dba made our ears ring and we stopped for kebab on the way home to sleep! Fun time at the beach!
Tomorrow Plans:
Take the shuttle back to Amsterdam and see an improv show

Jenn If you did find a way to bottle the smell of hyacinth, you would have a steady customer in me! How did you like the Thai Massage? We were just talking about that the other day at the yoga studio. Your trip continues to sound amazing!
