Forgive me for this shameless self indulgence but using the words from Apocalypse Now - Saigon... sh**; I'm still only in Saigon... Every time I think I'm gonna wake up back in the jungle... Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is traffic chaos. There are very few cars but thousands of motos (cross between a moped and a motorbike). They can drive on both sides of the road and there are very few traffic rules. You need to say a prayer before crossing the road here. The War Remnants museum was interesting and less biased that I had expected it to be with a strong emphasis on peace. I took a trip out to the Cu Chi tunnels just an hour outside Saigon. It is easy to see how the VC's and peasants gave the Americans such a hard time with their simple but very clever weapons and underground tunnel systems... I am off to Mui Ne next, a small but beautiful coastal resort a few hours east of Saigon...
