Hello everyone

Just a quick update of the last few days and a few more pics to look at.

We went to see the BC Lions play the Saskatchewan Sloggers on Friday. I don't think anyone had seen American/Canadian football before and it was a fun night. Although the game only lasts for 1 hour playing time you are wathing it for about 3 1/2 hrs because of all the breaks and razamatazz. Quite a few people only come along for the last hour or so and seem to treat the evening as a night out eating loads of foot long hot dogs and beer and giant pretzels rather than a sporting event.

Saturday was spent packing up with a light training session in the morning and then wandering over to watch the BC u16 and u18 rugby championships. Unfortunately it was raining on and off so we retreated to Starbucks for most of it.

We were then driven to the ferry port and when back on Vancouver Island we went straight downtown to try and get some dinner.Obviously it was a little tricky to find a restaurant on Saturday night which would seat 28 people so we had to split up and I had to settle for a rubbish meal of Oysters , steak and giant shrimp with Big G, Jezza Daniels and Little Lloydy(very good of Richard to treat us all, you've married a nice man there Irene, although if I were you I might think about scaling back your ideas for your new kitchen as his credit card exploded when he paid).

On Sunday the boys had a lie in (unplanned) and then went into town where the majority went into the forest to try Zip Lining which involves climbing 150 ft up a tree strapping yourself into a harness and whizzing down a 1000 ft wire whooping. The other party went up in a sea plane and after the intial surprise that it actually took off( bearing in mind that Big G, Barry and Dan Chapple were aboard)it flew around the southern part of the island and wilderness.

We all met up later in the evening and ate together in the Old Spaghetti Factory in Victoria.

This morning, most of the guys have gone back into town to shop/sightsee and then will come back and relax before this evening's game agst Cowichen.

I will do another blog in a few days time.
