Sawadee kaa, dear ones
If you wonder why Sweden reduces it's population with 30% in the winter stop worrying: they are all here in Thailand. Soon will Swedes be the largest minority here. And why not. Thailand is tolerant and warm, life here is cheaper and easier than in Sweden and people are humble and friendly. Can anyone ask for more.
I'm steadily regaining my strength. Dayly thai massages works wonders with my stiff and aching body. Today I catched myself to smile igen, you know, this inner contentment smile and everyone I met on the road were smiling back. It's easy to make friends here. Allready after one week they recognize you and invite to share a meal or just to sit and chat with them for a while. I don't speak thai and they can just a few words of english, but somehow we manage to communicate and laugh at each others jokes.
I love the slow pace of this town, it's so soothing and relaxing. Thai people are so creative. The variety of food is near to unlimited and all this fruits and juices...mmm Ok, I was not intended to make you salivate... Ok, maybe just a little...
I had plans to explore Burma later but right now I'm not so sure.
I hope you are all well, I miss you guys here and whould love so much to share all this with you. I know it's tuff in Sweden right now.
A lot of sunshine and my love to all
Yours, Saffran
