On my first day in Panama I visited Bocas Town. During my time here I stayed in the Hotel Bocas Town which overlooks the ocean. I loved meeting all the people and learning about their diverse culture. After checking in to my hotel I met with three native tour guides. We spent most of the day hiking through the rainforest and saw countless interesting animals. It was a beautiful hike but after a few hours we had to return to the hotel. That afternoon I went scuba diving for the first time. Bocas Town's coast was a perfect place to start because the dives were shallow and there were plenty of amazing fish and colorful coral reefs. Overall it was an outstanding first day.
