Hi, i just realised i havent made an entry in 8/9 days so Im gonna have to make this a bit briefer than i would have liked to. I think the last time i put in an entry we were about to rock climb so i will start there. We had to get a long tail boat to an area called Railay which is world famous for rock climbing. We spent the first day getting hooked up with accomadation and sorting out a rock climbing course. The accomodation was a cool bungalow and we started rock climbing the next day. The area was wicked, beautiful beach we checked out on the first day which i have pics of, looks like a lost paradise. The next day we did climbing in the morning which was well fun and then in the afternoon went up through this cave and the views were spectacular, one pic is pretty cool but we all look really dirty and photshopped on but its still cool. Then we did ab-sailing and another climb which was really good cause at the top you cud stand up and just look over all the bays in the area. That nite we just checked out local bars, and prepared ourselves for the big test the next day. In the morning we had to do a 30 METRE climb! Which was so high, doesnt sound it but it was massive. I had to go first and was wicked/scarey. At the top though was well peaceful. Then in the afternoon it was cliff jumping which is when you climb up a cliff and then literally jump into the sea, you can climb as high as you want, up to like 25m but if you screw up the climb then you will fall on your back into the water from a great height. However we were screwed cause it was low tide which wasnt a problem for depth just meant you had to pull yourself up a 6 foot rope to get to cliff that is climeable, and after 2 days climbing and rope burns, it wasnt easy. In fact, i dont like to blow my own trumpet but yours truly was the only one that managed it. Was a cool jump and got a pic. After Railay we checked out Phi Phi, chilled for one day on a beach then went to Phi Phi Ley and Maya beach where "The Beach" was filmed and we got to camp the nite there with just 20 other people, slept in sleeping bags under the stars and Im sure Pierre, Pat and myself had a moment, in a none sexual way. Also at midnight you get these plankton come in the bay and when you move in the water they lite up bright green just like in the film, thats so cool. That nite was one of the best bits of the trip so far, waking up to the sunrise on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world being completely empty. After Phi Phi we came to Koh Lanta, got here yesterday, real nice place, most rural we have been to in Thailand i reckon. We have a beach hut for 1.66 quid a nite each, dirt cheap. Our hut, if you can call it that, is no lie, 10m from this awesome beach. Yesterday just went snorkelling but today we went scuba diving again, i forgot how awesome it is. First dive was rubbish, it was an old ferry that went down in 1997, the owner sank it for insurance and is now in jail. But we tried to dive it but the current is ridiculous so we had to surface. So we went to another dive site protected by coves and an island and it was amazing. Best dive we have done, in the space of 3 minutes we saw a turtle just chilling on coral, a 1.5m leopard shark on the bottom, got like 2 foot from it and it just swam away, and a ray. Loadsa puffer fish, was like 10m visibility and we had a great time. Now Pierre and I are just doing blogs etc and tonite i think we are headin to the nite life area to have some beers etc. Tomorrow we are hiring mopeds cause apparantly it is the best way to see the island and one of the only ways to get to the best beach. Then after that its straight down to Malaysia. I will update you all there, hope everyone is well and dont forget to check out the photos. Spk Soon, Ryan.
