Jim Lewis I am just catching up with your blog, Ryan. I worked a consulting project in the Erie Canal area so you likely traveled through the small town of Newark during your trip. What a lovely place. Your grandma and I return their often to stay at an early 19th century B&B near the canal. Thanks for sharing and we are praying for good travels.

Konstantin Hi Ryan! Cool journey. Guess, I wouldn't do it having two bikes though :-( We met at small Valday town (Greater Novgorod area) when you and Patrick were having your simple snack at the food shop stairs. Do you remember? ;-) Surprisingly, I did motorbike trip to Mongolia this year too. And that was a first motorbike trip in my life. 18tkm over 35 days riding. Finished on the way to Yakutsk (north-east Russia) when hheading to Magadan - rear suspension went off completely...A bit exhausting trip, but got so much impressions! Posted my lame story here http://oppozit.ru/post_90861.html See you next time in Russia!
re: This Is No Country For Old MenDianne Sturwold Wow! What an amazing journey. Thanks for sharing your trip; it was really a thrill reading about it.

re: The First 12 DaysPeter Rock on, Ryan! Sounds great so far. As for me, I'm enjoying pounding, hot showers!
re: The First 12 DaysDan Proctor Best wishes and hoping you have a wonderful experience. Keep blogging what is happening. I am sure some of your former students may be sparked by your journey to begin and plan their own!
