Well for some reason our stomachs were not very settled this morning, but we geared up ready to leave for Thailand. We thought ourselves lucky for organising a nice, comfortable, air-conditioned van ride for the 25km journey to the border ..... Alas, in true Cambodian style, what should show up at the guest house but a very run-down clapped out white van with very minimal suspension. We hit every pothole possible on the dusty drive to the border, red dirt streaming through the doors left my white singlet a bit worse for wear, to say the least!! All in all it took us about 4 hours to drive that distance, and then we had to line up in the sweltering heat of the day to get our passports stamped. We finally get some luxury, an air-conditioned van back into Bangkok. Hopefully our second time here is better than the first ...
