This morning we all split into groups. Most went to hospitals and clinics. I went to clean wounds at the leprosy clinic. Its a village where cured leprosy sufferers live. They were shunned by the community and families and abandoned due to the spiritual significance leprosy is thought to have. I feel so sad being there. Today was our first proper day. Me and hass are going to embrace a Ghana diet. Therefore we are going to come back skinny. Call it Ghanas biggest loser or something.. Community outreach was an experience. When we arrived there were probably about 100 people from the village waiting for us to arrive. The clinic only comes every 3 months. Woke up this morning hot. I didn't really sleep actually as i have a cold but its hot. We travelled to ho from accra today. Im pretty tired and feeling pretty ill at the moment. When we got to ho we met the other volunteers and josh etc. ot was lovely to see them but im ill and tired and not really in the mood. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better say as its outreach.
