Merry Christmas! To think that to everyone here, Xmas has ALWAYS been a summer event. It's a rainy, grey day with very little movement outside. We went in search for any restaurant open for lunch. "Pie Face", a 24 hr chain, was serving piping hot meat pies piled with mashed potatoes, mushy peas and gravy. YUM! I had a quick walk through Hyde Park trying to properly capture the beauty of these grand fig trees but failed to do so. I can't believe that they are planning to remove them because they are too old and large! In the evening, John booked a Xmas dinner cruise in Sydney Harbor. Romantic except for the constant rain tonight. I love people watching and am enjoying that there is a ridiculous number of cultures represented here especially Asians. I assume because we are so close to Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, etc. The Chinatown district is HUGE! Tomorrow will be more rain so we are going to do some Boxing Day shopping and a visit to the Aquarium.
