Singapore Ah, Singapore - the place where backpackers come to bankrupt themselves. I mean, come on, it almost has 'poor' in the name!! So, we were in Singapore mainly to sort out our visas for Indonesia and due to a slight lack of forward planning on our part, we ended up having to spend 6 days there. Instead of staying in and eating pot noodles we agreed that there was no point in coming in Singapore and not actually doing anything…so 'sod the budget' ...

Apologies for the delay in updating the blog, we've been flying through places quite quickly and haven't really had time to catch up! So we took the bus from Krabi to Penang island, via Hat Yai - where (thankfully, on account of the lunatic driver) we changed minivans, we also picked up a new friend who we ended up travelling with for about 10 days, Ramiro from Argentina. Needless to say, Ken was sufficiently surprised to see us turn up at the airport for the flight to Krabi. He was even more surprised when Claudia and Rochelle arrived, having not seen them for almost 2 years! Ken and Holley (his girlfriend) had spent a week travelling around Bali over his birthday and after a 12 hour layover in Bangkok, were both shattered, so we stayed near Krabi for a night and worked out a plan.
