Well after an amazing 2 months in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia it's time to move on to the main bulk of the travels - Australia here we come.
Our first stop is Perth.
The sun is beaming with not a cloud in the sky! It's beautiful and instantly feel at home.
Becky and I have been extremely lucky as we have a good friend of ours, Scott HB,picking us up from the airport and showing us round. Scott's also letting us stay with him for the first night.
After a few essential things had been sorted, on no sleep - too buzzing to want to catch up on sleep, we got the beers flowing and the BBQ roaring. Perfection.
After being introduced to team "Werner" we quickly realised we had landed on our feet, the guys offered us a room for as long as we needed it, obviously with a good rate on rent :)
Within the first few weeks we had visited the beautiful local beaches and towns, taking in the sun.
Wedge Island had to be the most beautiful isolated beach to date. We camped over and caused some mischief over a few ciders with team Werner and our good friend Kirsty and her partner from home.

As we had landed on our feet it seemed to make sense to look for work here. Fortunately I managed to ask at the right time in the right place - the local aqua centre where we had enjoyed a few lengths in the outdoor pool. They were in need of a Customer Service Officer and to cut a long story short, I sent in my cv, had an interview, completed a police clearance check and put myself through a first aid training course and secured a casual role at the aqua centre and it's sister site of a leisure centre further in to the Victoria Park area. Not only did I get a job, I now had free use of the pool and gym, something I've been missing whilst I've been traveling. Keeping fit is good for my mind!
2 mths down the line and I have worked, lived and socialised around Western Australia's Perth. I'm now getting itchy feet and in need to move on so decided to bring my East Coast trip forward.
I now fly on my own to Sydney on the 12th of May for a couple of weeks there before starting a 6/7 week trip up the East Coast with my beloved Gemma Booth from home. Things have worked out perfectly.
First though more work, gym and not forgetting Disclosure the weekend I leave! Can't dilute my love for music yet I'm afraid! Xx
