This row of identical little houses right on the waterfront are amongst the most expensive housing for rent in SF at just $4000 a month... They used to house Airforce pilots when the area was an active base but now they can be rented - if there is ever a vacancy. Of course this is not the most expensive area as lots of celebrities live or have houses in SF.
