May 7

Today we flew in to Winnipeg from Vancouver and got quite the rude shock with the temperature only reaching a balmy 3 degrees above zero. My Aunt Julie came and picked us up from the airport and went back to her place for dinner and drinks (re: many) with my unlce Fred, Cousins Bill and Cam, and her boyfriend Brian. Not really sure how or what time we went to bed but it was a fun evening.

May 8

Late morning came too quickly and my Grandma came in to pick us up to take us out to Kaleida to the farm fora couple of days.
We got in early evening and made some dinner and weren't too long before we were all fast asleep.

May 9

This morning we woke up and started to make home made cinnamon buns, which after learning how to do so, I realised my previous attempt was way off. While we were letting the buns rise we went up to the church to pay our respects to Grandpa, Granny, and Uncle Michael.
I guess i forgot to mention the most important part of the day so far....when we got up it was snowing! and about -3. This continued all day long!
In the afternoon, we went into Manitou to get some thoroat lozengers as i started to come down with something ( either it was from unlce Jeff or the damn pigs) and did a quick tour of there until we went on a little drive. Nat was happy as we say a bunch of White Tail deers in the fields so we can tick 'seeing deer' off the list.

May 10

Mothers Day. We drove back in to Winnipeg for a mothers day lunch at Julies. I was feeling far worse than the day before which was no fun. Had a good afternoon with everyone and Audrey made sure she came over to remind us all how to play crib.

May 11

Slept in a little today to try and get rid of this cold. The weather has definately taken a turn for the good and its suppose to be 19 today. We are off to run some erands and then over to see my Aunt Clara and Uncle Keith.
