Hi everyone!
We are writing this from Sucre, the capital of Bolivia (one of the capitals?!).
We are currently 2800m above sea level and you casn feel the difference! We get completely breathless after walking up a flight of stairs and our hearts are constantly racing!
It´s a really nice place here, there are lots of museums and things to see. There are also lots of indigenous people in traditional dress which is cool. Before getting here we spent one night in Santa Cruz which was also nice, we did a little bit of shopping before going on a night out with the rest of our group.
Yesterday we went to a dinosaur park where they have lots of dinosaur tracks from 60 million years ago!! And they are still preserved. In 1998 the tracks were confirmed as dinosaur tracks by scientists and it is about to become a UNESCO world heritage site later this year. It was a really cool place and they also had life size models of some dinosaurs including a Sauropod based on a skeleton found in Argentina that was a massive 36 metres long and 18 metres high!! (we have added some pics).
Today we are off to Potosi, the highest city of it´s size in the world, to see a silver mine where many indigenous people and slaves were killed due to poor working coinditions.
Then we are off to the Salt flats at Uyuni for 3-4 days after that.
Hope everyone is well
Love Rob and Ros x
