BACK HOME!!9th June 2005
All the photos from all the countries, take a look! You may wonder, but this is how I spent alot of my time during my year away: 60 hours on airplanes and I only jumped out of one of them 290 hours (12 days!!) on long distance bus journeys Drank about 50 different beers Ate god knows how many tons of rice and noodles! Took over 4000 pictures! Repacked my rucksack about 75 times! Swam in 10 different seas/oceans and worked as a teacher, farmer, bus driver and luggage handler...

Laos Update
I'm sitting here in Luang Prabang having been in Laos for a very chilled out, relaxing week. Luang Prabang is the nicest city (if you can call a small, riverside village a city!?) i've been too. Complete contrast to the motobiked clogged streets of Saigon and Hanoi. I've been travelling with a couple of guys from Sweden (or is it Switzerland!), Ola and Fredi, this last week travelling from Hanoi to Vientine, Vang Vieng and now here. Next stop Nong Kiaw and then Phonsovan (maybe Xam Neau also).
Jantine and Lisa: I will probably be back in Thailand (Nong Khai) late May and Bangkok around the 3rd/4th June, so we should be able to meet up.
Hope ya all keeping well, Ross

All the pics of Brisbane/sydney/Fraser Island etc etc make me so nostalgic, they're such wicked places and you've almost inspired me to quit this work malarkey and go back. I'm glad you're having fun, am very impressed with this high tech internet stuff, it wasn't like that in my gap year back in the day! Take care lots of love xx

Ohoh, skydive! And you survived! I thought about the same thing a couple of hours ago when I left Australia, even without parachute... Standing at Singapore airport, will be back in Swe in 25 hrs... Well, that's life... Enjoy the rest of your trip, me and caroline will probably show up on your doorstep one day. Take care and keep on rocking!
brigit
hi ross,
i saw the photos and i didn't like it everything you said. Especially the words: women know your place!
I hope it was a joke. Jantine cooks very well, but she also likes it when somebody else makes her cooks for her.
Hint hint!
have a nice trip and see you (on the photo's)
greetings,
brigit (friend of jantine)
