Rosie. Hope your bum and skin ok. And you've survived all onslaughts from cigars and rum.
Bet you've had a great time.
But you missed The Wedding.
I dragged Tom round Buck Palace yesterday afternoon. Very upset no one tried to interview us. Tom totally unimpressed by the whole thing
Home tomorrow. What is number/time of your flight from Madrid? Might be able to pick you up on way back from Brighton. Text me.

Hi Rosie
Hope tour de Cuba did not inflict any further damage to your skin today and you had an awesome time. On a dreadfully dull not, I learnt today that, due to the wonders of nanotechnology and the mixing titanium dioxide and zinc oxide we can no longer have thick and white suncream; Instead one which refelcts UV radiation, reflects UV light and is invisible!! Lecture over....sorry, had to get that off my chest.
Enjoy the rum and cigars tomorrow...just the viewing and not the consuming of course! No drunk and disordely cycling. Think the smell in the cigar factory could be very interesting.
Anyway hope all is well and you are loving it.
This message facility makes you do complex mathmatical sums before you can write stuff.
Over and out,

Rosie. Great to see your new post today. Glad you're surviving - even if only just. Getting burnt through your shirt is impressive. Won't happen here now: hot weather all gone: quite chilly today. And rain forecast for Friday (wedding!).
You are now an Aunty! Or something. Anyway, Kirsten gave birth to Tom yesterday. All doing well according to Sheila (Michael's mum).
Best of luck with your next long trip. Remember, you have to sample the cigars and rum or your hosts will be offended. Enjoy
Anyway. look at all the lovely messages here. We're all thinking of you, glad you're having a good time, but will all be relieved when you get safely home.

Hey my lovely! Sounds like you're having a wicked time out there. Sitting here with Tom and we're loving reading your news. We're just about to head off to Sussex Uni as Tom's hol has eventually come to an end - although Tom's uni sounds like one long hol!! Look forward to your next installment. Have fun. Much love your ol'Ma and bro Tom xxxx

Hi Rosie - Dad and Karl seem to have said everything I wanted to say (and more) and in fact I sent you an email earlier, but gather you probably won't see that so just to say I hope all your new chums are kind and friendly and look after you (and you them?) I really admire your adventurous spirit and wish you a really wonderful and rewarding time. Take greaty care, and don't smoke too many cigars. Lots of love from Arnie + Vivianne

Rosie. Great to find your message. And see Karl's rambilings.
Arnie was asking after you. Hope its ok if I send him a link to this blog.
Anyway, glad you got to Cuba OK, and not been kidnapped or ended up in Delhi.
Nearly 8am your time (1pm here), so breakfast (?), in preparation for your first cycle ride. According to Google its 31C in Havanah, and going to get warmer.
Here in UK its starting to cool down. Thunder storms yesterday (was hottest Arpril day since 1942). Still sunny today, but a pleasant breeze,
Tom spent yesterday at Barbecue in town with Uni friends. Came home on very last tube. Just woken up. Hopefully an afternoon of revision. Gardening for me.

Hello
I have the privilige of being the first bean to post a reply on this wonderful blog
Hope you find an internet spot to update us all with tales of Cuban culture, tropical weather and a bit of cycle bum ache! Maybe a blessing in disguise not having the world wide web for a tincy bit.
So you may in fact receive this message back in Blightly. If so, hey, and my, you have thighs of steel!!
Just wanted to wish you well on your adventure and hope you are settling in nicely.
Lots of love, Karlos xxxxxxxx
