Day 146- 151

After a very long journey back to Bali from the Gil islands we arrived in Ubud. This place was really nice and we stayed in a little old place run by this old lady and her family. It was really nice and we got free breakfast. We explored the town with its numerous galleries shops and café’s and went to the Monkey Forest. This was brilliant; Rog had four bananas in his pocket and got mauled by the monkeys!! He loved this, and at one point had 4 monkeys climbing all over him. We left Ubud after 2/3 days and headed back to Kuta.
We went straight to accommodation with a swimming pool as the beach isn’t that nice. We stayed here for a couple of days. Rog hired a surf board and tried surfing for the very first time; he was really good and really enjoyed it. We ate in little cheap restaurants but had some really nice food. The swimming pool was really relaxing and nice to chill out by.
We got a Taxi to the airport; where unbeknown to us, we had to pay $50 to leave Bali. After paying $50 to enter we found this a bit of a rip- off! Never mind, Australia here we come!!!
