We had a good couple of days seeing some of the special sites in Barcelona.
had a great afternoon at the beach, took a dip, sipped a few Caipiroskas and soaked up the beach atmosphere in Barcelona.
Shirley and I walked the famous La Ramblas in amongst thousands of others and set about discovering the old gothic city centre, which was just fascinating. It's a couple of sqr Kim's of narrow cobblestone streets filled with shops, cafes, bars restaurants and the odd massive church.
We decided no map was required and opted for the random stroll thru the hundreds of little streets - brilliant.
Afterwards we hit the La Boqueria markets for a bit to eat of fresh caught mixed seafood char grilled in front of us along with a cleansing ale/champagne before finding what we understand was one of the oldest chocolatiers and had the best coffee so far on the trip.
We didn't get a chance to do the Guell Parc ( a Guadi designed park) or the cable car from the beach to the hills, looks like we may need to come back someday :)
