My darling! It sounds wonderful in Dubai! A very well earned and deserved break. You sound very relaxed and luxurious! Enjoy barry trotter, and just generally being a tourist!
Still counting! Only 59 days to go! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Just back from Birdsville races, and so pleased to read your blog which came in while we were away. The empty shopping centre certainly is an eye opener. Trust you are still enjoying all your new experiences.

Dear Rod,
I am over the moon about the tickets! We are all getting our reception committee ready for you-know-who'se arrival, with her faithful hound! Wish it was both of you, but when we have the magnet in England, I think you will be drawn! Anway, well done, and remember what I said in my email! We have just had a wonderful weekend with all the family down for Annie and Roger's wedding, which was modelled on yours I think! It was lovely, and as you know they are very well suited. Actually, have you met Roger??! Then I spent the night with Chris and family, as Pen and family were there anyway, and Bren and Jack, Cathy Richard andJustin were going to stay here, but it was so quick for them to get home, along the M4, so home they went. I was'nt expecting Nenna and Sam, they came on Friday, so I ended staying with C & J which was wonderful. The next big family party, and there will be one I am sure! will have ALL my children and their spouses. Bliss! I seem to be going on far to long, so much love, and see you soon! Katharine

Hey Rod, great to read your regular blogs, and although you have to live in the frustration, those of us at home think its an absolute hoot to read the ways of other lands. It keeps us laughing and actually reminds me a bit of India. Given Andrews role, he had a good laugh with this latest entry. It was great to "chat" with you the other day. We've just come back from a couple of days in Hervery Bay whale watching, turtle patting, etc and then to read this blog entry. Wow, its amazing how different the world really is, and don't forget that this is just one adventure of many to come. Looking forward to the next installment, and remember as you write the next one, its breaking up our mundane days. Cheers Tina and Andrew.

Hello darling! I was trying to work out why you're not allowed to take those photos...? Nice humour you're keeping too I see! Life goes on much the same here at CSIRO, or 'the funny farm' as I like to call it!
