Have a lovely time in Muscat, and eat loads of dates! I ADORE the fresh medjoul fresh delicious fresh dates!! I will try to find some here for you, and don't worry, we will celebrate a late Christmas here as soon as you have got over the excitement of seeing you-know-who and you-know-what! Pippi is very indignant at my calling her a what, but I am trying not to get too fond of her, she is so appealing! I am basking in reflected glory of having Pippi and Anouk, everyone wants to see them and not me! Still, I have broad shoulders. But seriously, we are all so greatly looking forward to your leave, and having you here. It will be wonderful to have you both together again. Pippi tells me that you Australians do not know the expression Broad shoulders. Ask your English fellow nurses! Seriously Rod, it will be wonderful to see you, and I shall have bottles of CabSav and barrels of Christmas pud for you! Bless you! and loads of love from your ma-in-law! (and dare I mention have a happy Christmas!)

Wow, those photos of the rain and waste deep water are fantastic, see the world really can work without engineers ! (This is a bit of a pun for me cause the main probs at work at the moment are actually related to stormwater disposal designs, and I really didn't expect to see if from Damman as well)! Well at least its a break from the normal boredom. How exciting,...... lets see how many people come in to the hospital from heat exhaustion AND drowning related issues combined. Thinking of you as we swelter in 35-40 deg heat, until next time, Tina. xxx

Dear Rod,
John and Trudy told me you had a fab week with pip. It is not long enough is it. Im settled down here in Nevada with my love. We celebrated Turkey day together ~ went the whole hog! or turkey should i say. I did also carve a pumpkin for halloween and went trick or treating. The NAS kahki night out was fantastic and our room was upgraded to the delux spa suite ~ hum de la. Best wishes to you and Pip for the hollidays. Kellie.

Dear Rod,
I don't know quite how I did it, but my message went onto your blog! I did not realise that I was so computer-literate! Anyway, the message is there, so I won't bore you with what I said again!
Lots of love, Katharine

I've completely lost Pippa's e-mail address! Could you please e-mail it to me Rod? thanks! I just came on to see how you both were doing and to say that 'nook merrily skipped into the back of the dogtainer's car with her lead, choke chain and scrap of bedding. They said that she would keep her lead and chain but maybe not the scrap of bedding, but she will probably have it for the flight at least. Hope you both are having an awesome time!!

Hope you are both having fun in Abu Dhabi or Aboo Darbie as it's more locally known. Nooky was so pleased to see us when we got home, and jazz went crazy too I am dreading parting them! Hope everything went well on your flight Pippa, On to England hey? You poor thing. I'm going to cut up Nooky's bed and send her off with a blanket version of it, hope this is OK? Okkaaayyyy as I just typed that, jazz got up, looked at me, then went straight to Nooks bed and laid down. Hmmm, wierd creatures. Skype me soon!

Hi Rod,
Animal pictures were really cool, I liked the fashion concious ducks the best. Will soon be posting Pippa off to you - it's all happening so fast! Hopefully it won't be long until you're both in England sipping G&T's by the pool - HA! That's right it's England - won't be long before you're both snivelly and cold pressing your feet up against radiators. But I do miss cold Christmas-es. Take care, chat again soon!
Dad And Mum
Hi Son,
Love seeing your pictures
Pip came up to see us before she left and we had a lovely talk.
She is looking forward to meeting up with you.
Pippi
Hello angel... LESS than a week before I see you!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Love the photos from the wildlife park (and your typos... they're the icing on the cake ) I'm so glad you got to go to Bahrain. Ranee is coming up on Thursday and then on Saturday I'm heading to Sydney on the bus to meet Faye and Greg, and then its onto the plane on Sunday (again, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!)!
Hey Rod, thankyou soooooo much for your birthday wishes. Yes, I got to have my singapore sling at Raffles in Singapore, it was bloody hot so it went down tooooo easily, but unfortnately only got 1 as the drink and Andrew's 1 beer was $49. (Youchhh). All up, I fell in love with Singapore, and I'd move there but its a bit too hot for both Andrew's!!!. Pip came up the other day, which although was a bit rushed, it was great to see her. In fact, it was a bit weird at first without having you there, but it really gave us some time to chat and I think it was great for us. Poor girl though, I had to drag her to the school to pick AJ up and she said it was weird being back at school, you know, bell ringing, etc. Mum's here at the moment, she says g'day. Her and AJ are on the WII fit at the moment, arguing over what sport to play. By the way, Pip and AJ loved the games of tennis together and I really thought Pip was going to break the fish tank, but she restrained herself, ...... JUST. Pip, AJ really really wants you to come back and play tennis, so when we see you next, you are up for a few games. Mind you, he'll be bigger and stronger then so WATCH-OUT. Well not long to go until you guys see each other and just think, Rod; you're already into your 5th month, you've survived this far it will only go faster from now. Thinking of you heaps, missing you both already. Cheers from happy helensburgh. Tina, Andrew and AJ xxx

Hello my darling,
its exactly 2 weeks before I fly out to see you. I am SOOO excited!! I'm really sorry that you are the last dwarf left! I love you so much and think you're the greatest! I leave to go to Sydney and Gosford tomorrow on a farewell tour which will seem really wierd without you, but will be really nice to catch up with everyone!
By the way, whats with the now free creatures? (are they hamsters?) I don't know that story!
All my love angel, I'm counting the days, hours and seconds...well, I would count the seconds if I could work it out!

Hi Rod! Hope all is going well, I heard about your crappy day with that poor girl. I'm glad I'm not in yor situation, good work at being strong when everything is against you!
I'm reading Dune at the moment (almost done!) and so I'd just like to say, tread lightly accross the sands, and can you please send me some spice?
