This is the last day of Ramadan, so I decided to exploit the day and visit the southern end of the Kornaish at Khobar. The reason being, as it is the last day of Ramadan, nobody would be there and tonight is breaking the fast for the last time, so it will be crowded to the max. I have been meaning to go there for some time as it is a much nicer seafront than Dammam. And with Tamimi Supermarket, and Jarir Bookshop across the road there are nice places to shelter ...

Well I am coming up to the end of my Probation, the end of Ramadan, the end of my 41st year on the planet and the beginning of EID holiday. So I thought I would have a quick reflection of life here in Saudi Arabia. Well day 2 in Dubai is coming to a close. I am at the hotel and due to leave for the airport in about half and hour. It has been the most wonderful weekend and I really don't want to return. Rod has left the building...well Saudi Arabia for a few days at least. Yes at the 11th hour HR came through with my passport and multi entry visa. Then on Wednesday morning I made a dash to the Emirates office to see if I could get a flight to Dubai. All going well and I am off to Dubai to essentially see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
