Well another rain-filled day which was really too bad because the towns we have been visiting have been really nice and picturesque. We departed our spa town and headed to Pilzen. We had a walking tour and were given an hour of free time. Unfortunately it was pouring down rain.
For lunch we went to a restaurant at the Pilzen brewery. From there we walked to the train station for a 2-hour train ride to our next destination, Cesky Krumlov. The Czech countryside rolled past our windows.
We did have a few mishaps. My camera battery charger must be kaput because I was only able to take 10 pictures with one of the batteries and one with the other. I had a backup camera with me but was having trouble with it as well.
When we got to the entrance of our very nice Renaissance town, it was blocked. Apparently they were having the regional qualifying for the Czech National Triathlon. We had to get off the bus and walk into town. When we got there our rooms were not yet ready and in order to kill time, Martin took us on another walking tour that was supposed to be 10 minutes but turned out to be closer to 45 minutes in the rain. I certainly hope the weather is better tomorrow because this is a good town to explore.
We were able to find a Kodak store for a temporary fix for my camera and found a pizza place for dinner. We also were able to call home from our room.
