Ogíjares, Spain
Hello all.apologies.everyone wants a blog! Well it's all saints day today and I have a day off so internet so I thought I would write this on a word document and upload it tomorrow am all good. Actually amazingly good today. I put on a pair of trousers which I haven't worn for a while and I am thinking I have lost weight because they feel a little big! Nice one Robyn! About time! Haha.well I thought this blog should be interesting for you. So I have a good story. On Saturday I wasn't very well, chest infection for a week now and I'm just getting through it. I went to Mercadona in Granada for my shopping and to write in my book, so I sat in my normal 5* cafe and had 2 coca liits. Then got my shopping and realised I had a bit of a wait for my bus as it was Saturday so they are every hour and a half. I sat down ready to sit and switch off. An old lady Spanish came and sat next to me. I greeted her and we got talking. She had no knowledge of English so this was my big test and there I was sat that have a broken conversation in Spanish to a wonderful lady who's only problem in life seem to be the fact that her fruit she had just bought was so expensive! She kept asking people to explain her receipt and she couldn't see it very well and she wasn't very happy. Then this other man a little younger than the lady arrived. Asking when the next bus to Otura was. I explained he had abit of a wait and he nodded and said thank you. He then started talking to me. Explaining he was a teaching and he was impressed that I didn't live in Granada, that I lived in a village like him. The fact that it's hard enough to have a general conversation in Spanish but having one on opinion was actually happening. It was one of the best experiences I have had here. He spoke alot slower than the old lady; he explained he was a teacher of some sort. I think quite a wealthy man as he carried himself in that way! So my confidence was on the up and one hour and fifteen minutes later the bus arrived with my favourite bus driver who I only really say Buenos Dias too got on that bus and said Buenos dias, que tal. He knows I am English and speak little Spanish but he looked up in shock and nodded bien gracias he said and smiled. So it seems everyday gets a little easier for me!...............................pause there. The bloody cat just jumped on me and tried to lie on my chest. Too much! haha.very scary.arrrrrrrrrrrrr she is back.haha.anyway 'perfect day' has just come on my music player. Even better! Its hot today about 26 degrees, nice! It has been pretty cold here lately. So here's your blog my wonderful people. Will be back to blog more stories soon. Hopefully then I can say Uncle Ian I have met a man who has a grandmother who knits! cas everyday gets that little bit colder!
