Well latest news....., steves got a cold!!!!!! IN RIO!, when its 35c outside!!!!!!! hahahaha!!!! (Shouldnt laugh really but c mon! that takes some doing! GENIOUS!)

Its our last night here before we set off towards Paruguay (via some other brazilian towns), tomorow morning at some ungodly hour! to spend the next 6weeks in tents, trekking, being eaten alive, with 19 girls so not all bad! ; ) We are meeting the people on our tour tonight, which should be good, been mainly hanging about with the people from our other hostel, the last few days.

Right on to the rio carnival! as you know we got tickets to see the main parade, in the samba drome, which was amazing!!! so many colours, some crazy floats, and general partying all night, we managed to last untill 5am! (Not bad) Plus halfway through the parade there was a major trenchal tropical downpour!, so we all got absolutly soak!, I had enough to drink to take my T shirt off and get my Man boobs out! not a pretty site! (I wont be letting steve put them photos on our site! ; )

Was a bit of a dodgy walk back past a favela, at one stage we though we were being shot at!!!! turns out it was just fireworks though! haha! bit lame really! But were all in one piece!

There been a couple of mugging since weve been here, a few girls in our hotel, got held up a knife point!, had there bag and shoes nicked! Who steals shoes! honestly!!

Just had a couple of chill out days since the carnival, been checking out the sugar loaf mounting today, decided against going up in the cable car, as weve overspent a bit.

Apologies for not being able to get any of our picks on the website as yet, its a bit of a nightmare these computers, v slow and all in spanish, and they generally throw a hissy fit when u plug a usb cable in!, We have know idea how good our asses to the internet will be over the next few weeks, so in all honesty, I reckon the pickys may have to wait untill we arrive in NZ in mid april. But who knows!

Right I had better go and do some washing, as I dont know when ill get another chance, and I am sure how attrative o dour Rob is!!

Hey again everyone. Nice to see theres been a few more messages on the board, keep it up. Where are my e-mails though eh?? This might be my last update for a few days as we are starting our big tour of s.america 2moz so there may not be great facilities about for a little bit. Were probably gonna be in the middle of the jungle or half way up a mountain or summin. Anyway, Sunday was the big carnival parade at the sambadrome. You may have seen some stuff in the paper about it but basically it was incredible!! There was about 40,000 people there, all cheering, clapping, singing and dancing till the early hours and we got some wicked pics, i cant wait to stick them on the site for you all to see. We got to the sambadrome at about 9.30pm and didnt leave till 5am....i was absolutely shattered and my feet were soooo swollen!! Was wicked fun tho even though it absolutey pissed if down for most of it...we didnt care though. There was about 10 of us in a group and we just danced the night/early morning away. Next day we just slept in till about 5 in evening. Tonight weve got our meeting with everyone whos on our tour and our tour guides etc. On the board in the hotel there is a list of everyone who is doing the smae tour as us so i counted up and there are 19 GIRLS AND ONLY 9 BLOKES (including me and rob) BACK OF THE NET!!! So that should be tip top!

Ello sunshinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnne, hope your well. Sounds like you are having a superb time at rio, a footy match thats what I like to hear. Holtwood played yesterday in the worse conditions, there were really strong winds followed by snow and rain so you can imagine. We won 1-0, Tucker scored, assisted by the Face, which is good and moves us up to mid table with five games in hand on most teams. We are away to Wateringbury this Sunday followed by the cup semi final, which is also Big G's birthday so hopefully be a double celebration. I shall keep you updated about Holtwood with my mini reports mate so no worries there. (jim played in a back three Sunday and did really well, he'll be there again Sunday). Apart from the footy, you haven't really missed that much to be fair, we are all working hard (well im typing this) whilst you're living it up. Dont forget I want pictures of all your conquests mate hehehehehe, speak soon!

Hey again everyone. Back again for another quick update. Thanks to everyone who e-mailed me, keep them coming and i promise to reply asap!! Tonight is the big one....the big parade at the ¨sambadrome¨ which should be immense and i cant wait. That starts at 10pm and goes on till 7am so were just getting some tinternet time in before we crash this arvo for a bit to save our energy for dancing all night long. NICE!! We really have got some amazing pics already (not that robbie`s taken any) but these computers are all in foreign (portugese) so we cant figure out how to put them on just yet.

Perry and Jo - Yeah we tried both of those nasty drinks....the rum one was ok but the sugary lime one was absolutely rancid...still ill try anything once ;-)
