In Sydney now and have had a great few days with Xanthe. It has been her birthday this weekend, plus the Easter Bank holiday, so we have had lots of fun. . .

We chilled out on the Friday I got here and on the Saturday went to the House Races, not only that, my first house race, not only that, the Derby! So, it was a bit of an event for Sydney, the Derby, Xanthes birthday and my first races. . . . Now I bet you are all wondering how much I lost. . . . ? Well, I didn’t actually. I won on about 4 / 5 races. . . 3 good size wins, one for $53, one for $75 and on the 7th race me and Xanthe decided that with it being the 7th and her birthday being on the 7th, we would bet on number 7. So did it win I hear you cry?!?! Of course! $130. . . che ching!

We had a great day at the races, then headed to a local pub for a few beers and games of pool. We then went into the city and had some food at a Chinese restaurant. . . Needless to say that we all ate far too much and rolled out of the restaurant. We did manage to get to the club where we had been heading, but unfortunately Xanthe didn’t last too long. Too much Champagne and then too much Chinese was her downfall, so it was taxi and bed for her! Aaarrr bless, Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

Sunday was a bit of a non starter. . . . We did manage some breakfast and eventually got out of the house for a walk around the local park before it got dark again!

Monday was a bit more eventful as we took a train over to the Olympic village and the Sydney Easter Show. Lot’s of things going on, mini shows, food, clothes and stuff. . . . Great for people watching and just mozying on around. . . That evening we chilled out again and I cooked again. It’s been a few really nice chilled out days. . . . I am sat on the couch at Xanthes, she has had to work, so I am now caught up with my journal and contemplating heading into the city or to Coogee beach.

I want to also meet up with some friends I met in Fiji, as they are now in Sydney, so decisions decisions. . . . .
