I said my fond farewell to Matt and got the skytrain in Bangkok to the bus station and then got the express bus to the domestic airport in Bangkok, which was as simple as I'd hoped. The airport was very busy - entirely due to the volume of flights operated by the budget airlines in this part of the world.
