Hiya
Yumm Yumm for our cooking lesson. We headed off to the restaurant around 3pm (the restaurant is owned by the guides sister so thats handy for the sister!)
I had earlier in the day told the guide that I am a vegetarian (I dont even eat Chicken in Asia as I have read disturbing newspaper reports of another outbreak of bird flu in southern Vietnam and Asia) so for the purposes of the cooking class I am a Vegetarian (and so is poor Rob, he didnt get a choice!!
So off we went with our veggie spring rolls, veggie pancakes, egg fried rice, our own soy sauce and some salady bits. I never knew what to do with tofu thats sitting in water and now I do so I'm am pleased about that. The tofu in the spring rolls was yummy and even Rob had to admit that he like them.
The pancakes were a bit of a palava and so I wont be making those back home but the spring rolls and egg fried rice are definately going to make an appearance when we get home (sorry mum but the smell will be horriffic and Dad, you will love them - Yay)
We rounded off the cooking class (3 hours) with a 5 course meal of what we had ate which was great, food always tastes better when you have cooked it yourself. We went home bloated and knackered and looking forward to a long sleep.
