Hi here goes, something i have never done before (actually this is the third go at writing this , kech with her techincal wisdom has deleted the first two attempts, so try again third time lucky). July 4 2015 saw us leave Brisbane for Kuala Lumpur on the overnight flight on Malaysian Airlines arriving at 550am, the sheer size of the airport was the first thing we noticed, having to catch a train from the terminal to bagagge claim and to clear customs, then it was the lack of paper work compared to NZ and AUS, so straight through and past the shady taxi driver s ( whom were actually overpriced ) and to the KLIA express train 28 minutes to Sentral , it claimed. we enjoyed the magnificent sunrise just after 7 am, as we cruised through the jungle, after what sounded like we had run over a couple of severe rocks and spat them out , we stopped at the next station, odd as this was the direct train. we were asked to disembark and then found that it actually was quite humid in the 15 minute wait for the next train. The A/C was a welcolm releaf, in the new train, arriving in Sentral, and as Kech was tired , decide to get a taxi, what an ordeal. they claimed to be the cheapest @ 14 RM , (we have since gone twice that distance for that) and to add salt into our wounds the hotel was almost visible from the train station ( i have since walked the distance in about 8 minutes), booked into our Hotel . Hotel Prescott which was clean enough , could do with a paint but considering the price was great value for money. Kech had a sleep for a few hours , we went for a walk the surrounding suburb was interesting, Kech decided to get more of a rest, so i wandered down the road and found a shopping mall only 7 floors, all the main shops and more, just cruised around for a while. later that afternoon we grabbed a cab and headed for the Petronsas Twin Tower in KLCC, the viewing deck between the two towers is at 170m, from there you head up to the 86 floor on tower2 at 370m amazing views. KL the amount of construction seems amazing ever expanding and the mocern and the old combine to make an amazing city, Kech found a mall at the base of the towers, but the we couldnt shop there (shops like Gucci, Prada, even Harrods) we did have a great meal in a resturant in the food area, lovely Malaysian meals. Kech had spotted a H&m store across the road , and low and behold there is another mall, this only about 4 levels, back underground and caught the train to sentral, this the way to travel, 1.60RM each (about 60c AUS) , and a quick stroll through the mall, short cab ride home (the cabbies are so shifty over here , they try and give you a price and leave the meter off, so you dont know its actually overpriced).
Home intime to watch the British GP on TV, great timezone,
Monday 07-07-2015, Kech has been coughing a bit of blood, so decide if she took it easy would be the go, grabbed our complimentary breakfast, which was original, Kech went back to the room to rest and i attempted to find, some cough lozenges, along with road maps of the UK, etc, checked out of the hotel cruised to the Sentral station, and headed to the Airport , where we spent the afternoon, its more like a city than an airport. the custom checks were as low key as the exit, just enough without all the paperwork, (makes you wonder what they actually do with the paperwork) cruised around, and managed to get into the Premier Plaza Lounge , where we ate and drunk for the evening, we both enoughed an awesome massage, showered and await our flight to Paris leaving at 1140pm.
