The Big Trip- Part 2 South East Asia
As our Airbnb fiat was close to the Buffaloes baseball stadium we couldn't miss the chance to go along to watch a game. Even though we were only at the flat for a week we managed to coincide with the Buffaloes game against Tokyo Tigers. We chose two of the cheapest tickets at £17 each and were worried we would be high up "in the gods", but we needn't have worried. We still had a good view, and for close up we could check out the action in the big screens. As neither of us had a grip on the rules it was an interesting few hours as we figured out the scoring system and what was going on. As the game got going things became more interesting and we were soon getting the hang of things. I'm not sure either of us would rush to pay loads of money to go again, although I could see the appeal, and it certainly appealed to people across the age groups. the usually quiet Japanese were suddenly transformed into exhuberant hoards as their respective favourites slammed the ball across the pitch.
