Howdidlydoodly Everyone!!!! Sorry its taken me so long to update this, but i hope that your all well!!

The past few days have been crazy!!! it all started when we arrived at the airport in Jo'burg - when Stephen realised that he had lost his passport!!!! which is never good!!! hehe!! we had to search through everything and we even phoned the hostel we had been staying at four times, to make sure he definately hadnt left it there - but they couldnt find it either!!!! so we had to then go to the singapore airlines office, in the airport to explain what had happened!! eventually we were told that we would have to wait until the embassy opened up on monday (2 days away!!) to apply for a new passport and then probably wait for at least a week, to be issued with one!! obviously stephen was feeling really crap - but secretly i was enjoying the thought of staying on an extra week in africa!! hehe!! but that wasnt the point!!! so we decided to go back to the same hostel to try and stay there another night!!

when we got there, the hostel owner was standing at the gate with the passport in his hand!! apparently they found it after we had phoned but couldnt get in contact with us!! but it didnt matter because we had missed our flight anyway!! Luckily we got on a flight the next day - and didnt even have to pay!!! hehe!!! go us!!

the heat hit us as soon as we got out of the airport - Singapore is soooo humid and sticky, which made the 5 or 10 minute walk to our hostel from the MRT absolutely horrible, especially with our backpacks!!!

we've only had 2 days here, so we didnt have a lot of time to do stuff - but i still managed to drag stephen to the Red Dot Design Museum!!hehe! it was so cool! it was just outside chinatown. after a few hours there we went into chinatown to their food market, which was soo cheap, although we were getting some strange looks from people, but i think it was cos we were trying to use the big spoons and not chopsticks to eat our extremely watery curry!! hehe!! this part of the city is mad - theres so many bright lights and street decorations. We walked on to Clarks Quay, which has loads of restaurants and shopping malls -  it seemed slightly more sophisticated and maybe even a little less tacky!

We also decided to see what Orchard Road was like - its the main shopping street in Singapore! we spent the whole day walking from one end to the other - its pretty long and has so many shopping malls, although most things seemed a lot more expensive than i thought it would be, but it was still cool!!but it was really humid and busy. later on we went to the Raffles Hotel for a Singapore Sling - a supposedly 'really famous' cocktail!!!! that everybody knows about!! that is a part from me!! hehehe!!but it was actually really nice, but we only had the one cos they were too dear!! hehe!! but that bar was cool, they gave every table a massive bowl of monkey nuts, and instead of collecting all the shells, u just had to through them on the ground - we had soo much fun - easily amused i know!! hehe!! so the ground was 'slightly' crunchy! hehe!! i dont think theres much else to do in singapore - but we've had fun, however we're gonna cut our time short here, cos its a bit too expensive!
