To begin my blog I want to send out an apology to all those waiting for info on where and what I have been up to in Asia. I have been writing a blog offline and have now finally found time and internet to upload a few of my antics.

So way back on the 15th of August I arrived in Hong Kong after a relatively uneventful flight. Upon arrival and after 2 hours of searching various luggage belts, I found no backpack. My adventure had officially begun......

Yes guys, my luggage was lost. I asked where it was last seen... the answer received was we don't know. Unfortunately I obtained only 400 Hong Kong Dollars compensation per day which is about 25 pounds.

Fortunately I had friends in Hong Kong and was meeting two old travel buddies (Joe and Frank). After a few calls, some borrowed clothing I was out on the town.

The difficulty in losing my bag wasn't just the fact I had no clothes but how would I get the bag back. My next flight was on the 16th (day after) to Singapore and then onto Malaysia straight away. I managed to arrange my luggage to arrive in Singapore. To cut a long story short my relatively easy transit in Hong Kong turned into my first change in itinerary.

The next couple of days were spent in Singapore waiting for luggage, catching up with the guys and meeting some of Joes' friends. Finally my luggage was recovered and the lost and found lady didn't only return my luggage with a smile but also asked me out on a date. Maybe my luck was turning. lol!
