Hello

Tuesday 25th March

We arrived in Nadi last and got to our hostel which is on the beach but as we had booked a double room we are in a building right round the corner with no sign of life and had a major panic last night when i spotted a giant cockroache that Iain couldn't catch and then it disappeared!! We had a quick shower and went around to another hostel to meet Mel & Ellis who we met when we got rained out of our tent @ Franz Josef Glacier, NZ ( the only other campers and got rained out too - from Bournemouth) and had a good few drinks with them so just went back to sleep after that - very difficult tho coz of the heat and dreaming about cockroaches!

Wednesday 26th March

We got up at 6am and got free tea & toast at our hostel ( not expecting that) and then go aboard an air-con minibus for our 4hour drive along the Queens Road to Suva at the opposite end of the main island. We got dropped off at the holiday inn ( where we are getting picked up to go to Suva airport to get our 12 minutes flight to Levuka on Ovalau island) We had 4 hours to wait and managed to blag the door man to let us store our bags even tho its really for hotel guests only! We had luch in the holiday inn and came out into Suva down to look for the internet ( Fiji's capital and got pestered by people trying to sell stuff - not a very nice city!!) Can't wait to get off to the islands!

Well we will spend the next 3 nights a Levuka Homestay - a B&B run by 2 expats - looks nice and we'll see what we get up to there - oh is forecast heavy rain for that island - great!!

We'll have to do the same fly/bus trip back to Nadi on Saturday, where we'llk stay for 1 night before catching a boat on Sunday off to Mololo island on the Mamanuca group of islands and we will stay at the Funky Fish Beach resort.
