Things we won't forget about Beijing

1. Everyone staring at us
2. Everyone hocking up gunk and spitting it out everywhere - everyone u pass spits on the street!
3. The hawkers selling Beijing Olympics 2008 souvenirs over a year before the Olympics start
4. Running away from the Rickshaw men who also want to take u somewhere even if it's only 5m down the road
5. All the old ladies trying to steal ur water bottles before you've finished drinking them- think they collect them to get money from the recycling
6. Not finding blummin "Qianmen Dajie" for the vegetarian restaurant even though we walked for 2 hours 2 nights in a row - the road just doesn't exist
7. Green men don't mean it's safe to cross roads for pedestrians, they mean run as fast as u can or u get knocked down by bikes and cars - traffic signals mean nothing over here
8. Getting passed fakey/dodgy notes that no-one will accept anywhere when u want to buy things
9. Struggling to eat as can't find any western menus or even pictures but we have managed to find a Starbucks and a MacDonalds
10. Amazing how cheap everthing is - 1.10p for MacD meal, 0.21p for a subway ticket, 0.7p a postcard, 4.90p for a meal with beer, Starbucks (medium) Frapuccino for 1.95p
