Rie & Stew Are Out Of The Office
Hi from hot and Sticky Bangkok,
We finally decided to leave Koh Phi Phi, if it wasn't for visas we might have stayed a bit longer. Its a very special place, being able to help out a little and the friendship of the locals and other volunteers made it one of the most memorable parts of the trip.
We decided to splash out 30 quid each for a flight from Phuket to Bangkok, we didn't fancy the overnight bus journey. It was well worth it, even got a nice meal on the plane, even though the flight was only an hour and a half.
We're staying in a lovely guest house in the north of the city, away from the markets and go-go joints. Its got a pool which is lovely, as its constantly in the mid to high 30's.
The Khao San road is famous for its knock off market stalls, which we made use of to replace a few worn out clothes. 1 pair of puma and 1 pair of deisel trainers - 15 quid.
Walking along minding our own business, we bumped into friends from Phi Phi, we met up for a beer then checked out a bar that staged a traditional thai womens dance troupe... very interesting.... ping pong!
Most of our time has been spent sorting visas and onward flights, but did manage to take a long tail boat around the canals of the city.
If our indian visas are sorted we fly out to Dehli on saturday, then fly into the Himalayas, to Leh for the Ladakh festival.
Keep an eye out for the next photos.
Love S&M XXX
