We have found our way to Asia and we are now in Chiang Mai. It was a long flight from Dubai and with the transfer in Bangkok i really did tire us out. We got picked up by one of the guides called 'Sunny' who is a real star. We got taken to our accommodation called Ban Rai Lanna which really is beatiful. I don't mean to make you guys jealous but it is a touch of paradise - it is in the middle of no where - but is nice to have a few days where we able to relax.

After a relaxing day by the pool, we took turns to have a fantastic Thai massage which we have since indulged in every day. She is brutal but amazing!

Yesterday was Jo's choice of shopping at the local handicraft markets. Saw lots of beautiful things to buy all of which too big to carry so will have to come again!

In the evening we sat down to another faboulous meal - it is vey cheap - but I must say the curries rival those from the Thia Girder in Southfields!

The following morning it was my choice of activity, so I decided I would make Jo trek around the local area in the burning sunshine! IT was really nice to get into the hills and see the local Moung tribal village. After that we felt we deserved another one of those massages!! We also have a friend who has joined us in the appartment called 'Frank' who is our token Thai Gekko!

Off cycling to the local waterfalls tomorrow, so wil let you know how we get on. Missing you all, but just about surviving :-)
