Woo hoo im in Tokyo! I just arrived here on the train from a small town on the coast called Kamakura. I fancied a break from the busy cities before heading for the big one! I was stuck in Osaka for 3 days as some of you might know i had a problem with my plane tickets-as in all the writting had disappeared off them due to carrying them around for the past 3months! Well its all sorted now so just got to make sure my new tickets dont get destroyed! Im in Tokyo till Monday when im off to paradise (well, Fiji!). I think i need a few weeks of just sitting on the beach after all my travelling. Also i hope to try some surfing! After Kyoto i went to the former capital Nara for two days(just more temples there) and then on to Koya-san mountain where i was going to stay in a buddhist temple. When i got there the temples were just so expensive and the youth hostel there was so cheap and designed in traditional japanese style with tatami mats and slidding doors. One thing im getting anoyed about is all the different slippers you have to use. There are room slippers, bathroom slippers, outside slippers and ive even seen a man with special train slippers! They are mad people!! Right im off to explore Tokyo!
