Started the day with a walking tour of Arequipa. It's is a beautiful city, much cleaner and much less noise than the other places.  The taxis and cars don't toot every 2 seconds which is wonderful. On another Bus in the afternoon to Nazca. Awesome scenery coming into the Nazca desert. Went straight to the airport and go in a tiny 6 seater plane to look at the Nazca lines.  These have been dated back to 300 BC.  They are pretty incredible. I loved the tree and the monkey.  Great experience expect for the constant turning side to side to give everyone good views. Today woke up early to go on a tour of the Ballestas Island.  Really awesome island. So much wildlife in one small area. We seen sealions that were fighting and roaring at each other. Humboldt penguins, pretty crabs,  pelicans,  Peruvian boobies and Inca Tern birds (my favourite! ). We were taken to the area to see my first Nazca line. It looked a bit like  cactus and was the size of a rugby field (50 × 100). Amazing that the wind and sea have not made it ...

Day one: Arrived in Lima early in the morning after not too much sleep. From Trujillo headed out to the Huaca de la Luna and Sol  mon and sun temple museum and Sun and Mom Temple. Similar to the Sipain one the other day. Some of the pottery was incredible. The stories of all the sacrifice, especially of the spouse of the rulers who died was kind of gross.
