10th April 2008 - 17th April 2008 10th, Perth Australia, wandered round the town after getting the bus in which is free by the way (good start), in the evening went to a Korean restaurant. Walked back to the hotel, early to bed as we had little in the way of sleep the previous night. 11th Off on a drive along the Swan River Valley. Fist stop Guilford and old colonial type town with many of its original buildings still standing. Then of on the trip next stop Margaret River Chocolate Shop with lots of free samples very difficult to walk out of there. Over the road to one of the many Vineyards more free samples of both wine and cheese, (poor Jill she was driving). Next we visited one of the breweries in the area more sampling (things are getting a little hazy now). I think another brewery then another Vineyard with more samples, a fruit farm for grapes, melon and pears. Local produced Olives and another brewery but only ginger beer with chilli this time. Evening meal was cheese, olives, fruit and wine. 12th Rob and I had an early start. Off fishing out of Fremantle, started at 7:00, big boat with 14 others steamed out into the Indian Ocean for over an hour before start fishing in 45 to 100 meters depth. Move on down South to Busselton on route we saw our first Kangaroos and Emus close to the road side.
