15th

Leaving Cairns and the Coral Towers. If anyone is in Cairns and wants a quality apartment go there it is on The Esplanade on the corner of McKenzie Road Sandy and Tony will look after you. Drove on up onto the Atherton Tablelands visiting Kurunda markets, the Coffee Works at Mareeba. Visited the Curtain Fig tree near Yungaburra. Stopped at the Kookabura Lodge motel. Meal out at the local Hotel (pub) before retiring to bed.

16th

Brekkie on the verranda more of the tablelands to see visited Lake Eacham a volcanic crater lake full of fish and saw a number of saw-shelled turtles. Then on to Milla Milla and followed the waterfalls trail seeing the waterfall at Mila Milla, Zillie Waterfall, Ellenjaa Waterfall and Mungalli Waterfall. Visited the Mungalli Valley dairy for Cream Tea and scones. Then on to Mission Beach ended up at the Mission Beach Resort.

17th

Jill and Rob have gone off diving. Sue and I have caught up with an ex work mates wife (He is out of the country) Shelia took us out for the day showing us around Mission Beach and introduced us some of the locals and showing us their houses, they don't have pets here the wild life just comes into your house or gardens, we were shown white lipped green frogs on the picture frames and pythons wrapped in the shower blind. Also invited to a sausage sizzle which was a 50th Birthday party out in the sticks in a shed (that is a barn to us). A Karaoake was held there as well. Good night out.

18th

Visited local market, then met up with Shelia and visited Ginny at her Cattle Stud, then to Ann and Ferdie's for a cooked brekkie. Show around another house. Spent the afternoon on the beach watching the parachutist landing. In the evening visited The Shubbery meeting up with some of the locals.

19th

Left Mission Beach and hit the Bruce Highway South towards Mackay. We visited Balgal Beach which was almost completely deserted. Then a drive to Townsville.
