17th June
Yet another hot steamy day. Once again caught the White Knuckle Express to Central then the MRT to Kowloon and the Street Markets where the weather tried to dampen our spirits but to no avail. We First went to Flower Market Street where they were selling absolutely all manner of plants, Orchids at about £2 a time. and your average garden plants at pennies each. Then on to the Bird Gardens where Finches, Parrots and Minor bird were being offered for sale along with anything you needed for bird keeping. I particularly like watching the man making thin bamboo cages. Next to Goldfish Street where they had every thing for the aquarium most put off by the number of Anenomie fish being up for sale (Disney has a lot to answer for). Evening was suppose to be a Junk ride to Lamma Island to a fish restaurant but the weather was to rough so we ended up having to abandoning the boat trip and ended up at Jumbo a large floating restaurant near Edinburgh on Hong Kong Island.
