China has been a real suprise; it's blasted away all my preconceptions! The atmosphere is exciting, weaving in and out of crazy traffic, under sky high buildings, with a misty mountain back drop. The people are wonderful, quick to help and very very smilely, despite the majority not having a word in common. We are becoming mime pros!

We are spoilt for choice in what we do. So far we have climbed the great wall, tobbogend back down, admired palaces and temples, so much more beautiful than i imagined, taken on the terracotta warriors, ridden a bike round the only walled city in China, eaten tofu that intentionally smells and tatse like horse poop (or attempted to eat it, wasn't a success!) ...Actually can't complain about the food, we've eaten some very tasty food for as lilttle as 1.25 each. This place is stunning and we've only scratched the surface.
