Ric Flack's Travels
We had breakfast at PCH Grill at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel today. Then back to the Disneyland Hotel to make sure that Bell Services had picked up our luggage to take to the ship. We had arranged for a shuttle service to take us to the cruise terminal because Disney Cruise Transportation didn't leave the Disneyland Resort Area until after noon and I wanted to be at the Cruise Terminal Earlier than that. Karmel Shuttle picked us up right on time and we took the 40 minute ride to the Los Angeles Cruise Terminal. Since we had checked in at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel we didn't have to check in at the Terminal and we had boarding group number 2. Kelsie and I got in line to check in for the kids programming and Nikki got in line to get us a shore excursion for Cartegena. It wasn't very long until they called us to begin boarding. After going through security and getting our photo taken we were back on the Disney Magic. I headed to Rockin' Bar D to try to get Palo Brunch and Tea reservations and Nikki and the girls went to Parrot Cay to get lunch. I was successful in getting a reservation for Brunch on Monday but had to go on a waitlist for High Tea. I only had to wait in line for about 5 minutes so that was good. I then met up with the girls in Parrot Cay and we had lunch. We didn't know our dining rotation as it wasn't on our Key to the World Card so we asked the server if he could check. Turns out we had 5:30 dining so Nikki went back to Rockin' Bar D to see about switching to the 6:00 pm dining. There was no availability so we will just have to deal with the earlier dining time. We still had time before our staterooms were ready so we went up to deck 10 to get some sun. Nikki napped while the girls and I played ping pong for a little while. Then, at 1:45 we were able to get into our stateroom and drop off our carry-on bags. Nikki and Regan stayed in the stateroom and napped while Kelsie and I went exploring around the ship. We found out about the limited edition merchandise and made reservations for Tea with Alice. Found some artwork that was cool and had a good time. It was then time for the lifeboat drill so we headed back to the room and headed to deck 4 to participate in the lifeboat drill. The sail-away party began at 3:45 so we made our way up to deck 9 where we got streamers and our usual sail away drink. This time they were green pina coladas and were in glasses that said "Mexican Rivera". Dinner at 5:30 came really early and our luggage had still not all been delivered to the room so Regan ended up borrowing one of Nikki's skirts for dinner. We are sharing a table with another family who have two girls the same age as Regan and Kelsie. After dinner Nikki ran up to the room to see if Regan's luggage had been delivered and the girls and I went to see Mickey Mania. Kelsie decided to go hang out with Stephanie, her new friend, and Nikki joined us for the Mickey Mania show. After the show we went and found our photos and then up to the room to unpack before the evening show. The show was John Charles and Ron Pearson, two comedians. They were both really funny and I was glad that I went. Regan has activities beginning in The Stack at 10:45 and the rest of us are going to bed. Tomorrow is an at sea day. Kelsie has arranged to meet her new friends at 10:00 and Nik and I have Palo reservations at 10:30 am.
