We started off our adventure in the jungle by going on an elephant trek. This was really good fun! The elephants when up little rivers and climbed through the jungle. For such a large animal it was surprising how careful they were with their steps. They were really beautiful to see and get up close to! We then went on a canoe along the river. To get to the river we had to walk through a cave! We saw some amazing views of rocks and mountains. Was also very relaxing as a man did all the paddling for us! We saw a few snakes in the trees and I spotted one swimming across the water! After a tiring day we went back to our jungle house n had a nap! Then we went out for a nice dinner and relaxed in a tree top bar over looking the rainforest listening to bob Marley! On our 3rd day we went into khao sok national park to explore ourselves round the jungle. This was just 5 minutes up the end o our busy road! We decided to trek to the waterfalls. This was hardcore! It took us 4 hours, up and down steep treks holding onto trees as support, across streams! The paths were just about the size of us. Along our journey we saw some wild monkeys and a monitor! I fell in love with the monitor he was huge and so beautiful, the girls had to drag me away! We walked out of the jungle boiling hot and covered sweet! A tropical thunderstorm started which we all just stood in to cool us down! We then had a well deserved nap, dinner and relaxed in a bar called chill out bar round a fire with cocktails again listening to bob Marley n other reggae! I love the simple life.
