Day 3 ... highlights jog through Hyde Park & the "Hop On - Hop Off" Red Bus Tours
... although it was a bit of a wrestle I was able to squeeze in a 45 minute in and around Hyde Park; felt good to get some exercise and focus outside my head space ... for me the mental break is always followed by a feeling of overall wellness.
... love, love, love the on/off tour buses - hugely informative (we had quite a funny, young guide with a wicked British sense of humour ... very engaging)!
Saw many sights today and - even better - I was able to view the many facets of London's architectural richness.
It was truly lovely rocketing around London seeing the sights by double-decker bus and via the Thames River by cruise boat. This was followed up with a smashing meal at Il Gusto Italian Ristorante in Paddington. We had the most charming server, his name is Izahi (pronounced E-za-E) Santana. This young fellow amazed me with wisdom [far beyond his years] he so easily and effortlessly touted:
- "staying in one place is but a single page" of his story [said in relation to his world travels ... he hails from Mexico, has lived in Vancouver, now works and lives in London and has plans to carry-on in another 8 months]
- "humans are two things - water and energy if you take care of yourself well you will have a wonderful present" [said in relation to his thoughts on living for the moment and not thinking about yesterday or tomorrow where this is no control ... you have today, now, living]
Truly loved being in the presence of a person like "E" he has such amazing positivity and energy ... I felt I was pulling everything I possibly could to keep and store it for myself ... to draw upon ... Wow! I'm still marvelling at his wisdom and ease with life - a true free spirit.
This was followed with a quick little trip to the souvenir shop across the street ... been there got the t-shirt ! ! I found myself walking hand-in-hand with my dollie back to the hotel with a glowing grin ... the wine probably assisted there but more likely it was the positive energy source. Find myself now thinking of a guru I spent time with recently - RJ - that provides that same positive outlook and ease ...
Today's Photo: the view through an ornate gate into a lovely English garden fronting Eaton Square [the most affluent area of London where the property value literally raises by 27 British Pounds per hour]! Our guide wittingly remarked that this area is for the insanely wealthy and the gardens are only accessibly by Eaton Square residents ... "where they are often seen here walking - pondering their wealth whilst massaging their chins" !
