Wednesday
Headed for a look around to the Royal Palace first up . As there the Independence Day was only a few days ago they are now taking down all the special scaffolding and stuff that they had up for the day. We found many of the buildings you couldn't go in or take photos of if you could go in especially at the Silver Pagoda. All the floor in this place is silver tiles but it's all covered in carpets and mats so you can't see much. It's all quite grandiose as you would expect for the royals.
From there we went to the National museum which was a bit ordinary so we didn't stay there. Think we are a bit over museums .

From there we went to Friends which is an organisation that supports and trains street youth . They have a shop, restaurant and massage place . We bought a few things and had a foot massage by one of the girls in training . Also went back for dinner that night. Good to support a cause like this.

At night we went to the cultural show on the museum grounds which was pretty good as they had a screen with English translation on it that explained it all.

Thursday

Quiet day today. We both went and had a foot massage and a pedicure. My girl thought it was hilarious I was getting a pedicure . She had her work cut out for her as after wearing thongs for a month and walking a million miles my feet are looking like crap. Anyway was a nice bit of pampering for a change . I liked when she got this sanding thing out on my heels - thought was going to have to break out a big belt sander at one stage
