Today we travelled from Chiang Mai to Ko Sumai, it's just a 90 minute flight. Ko Sumai airport is so pretty.
We arrived at the hotel at 3pm and were shown to our room, wow, it's massive!! larger than our lounge at Milby, the bathroom is just under half the size of the bedroom.
The hotel is situated right on the beach, so our first job today was taking a swim in the ocean, it was like wading in to a warm bath. The temperature is slightly cooler than Bangkok just the 33 degrees today.
We are here for 5 nights so are really looking forward to a few days chilling after a fairly busy start to our tour.
We took advice off a blog on Trip Advisor tonight, venturing out to a local restaurant a few doors away from the hotel, what a great meal, we have been so lucky with the restaurants we have chosen so far. Tonight's meal of 3 main courses with two portions of rice with fresh fruit for sweet was 410 Bhat, about £10. Great value!!!
